• Shareholder lawsuit to compel a public company's management board to answer shareholder questions. Represented the shareholder at the general meeting and in subsequent litigation across three instances (team lead).

• Shareholder lawsuit concerning a major energy project, involving climate litigation—"a powerful precedent," The Economist. Represented the shareholder during the public company's general meeting: questions, discussion, filing formal objections, proxy voting, etc. Subsequently, challenged the company's resolution and represented the client in the ensuing litigation (team lead). • Negotiation of retail, franchise, wholesale, distribution and other commercial agreements with luxury fashion brands.

• Negotiation of e-commerce agreements with online platforms, representing a major retailer.

• Analysis and amendments of a Clinical Research Master Services Agreement (CRMSA) for a company negotiating with a U.S. service provider.

• Negotiation of commercial lease agreements.

• Broad scope of day-to-day legal services for a company involved in international commerce (retail and wholesale, online and brick-and-mortar).

• Restructuring agreement and amendments to corporate governance for a Polish public company in arrangement bankruptcy (member of the team). Value: ca. PLN 2 billion.

• Supported the development of an expert witness opinion in international arbitration proceedings concerning the protection of foreign investment in Poland. Dispute value: EUR multi-billion.

• Expert advice to a law firm representing a party in an international dispute over the ownership of a large Polish company (member of the team). Dispute value: EUR multi-billion.

• Expert advice to a Polish company on debt repayment in the context of a foreign bank's restructuring. Dispute value: EUR multi-million.

• Expert opinion for a UK law firm (co-author). Subject: enforcement in Poland of a U.K. judgment handed down after a freezing order (Mareva injunction). Comparative analysis against the backdrop of the Polish Constitution and civil procedure. Dispute value: ca. PLN 1 billion.

• Expert opinion for the law firm representing a leading Polish financial company during the takeover of a foreign entity (co-author). Analysis included the draft acquisition agreement under foreign law and the buyer's contracts with other advisors: legal, investment, financial, and strategic. Transaction value: ca. PLN 1 billion.

• Expert advice on a common law trust from the perspective of Polish substantive and procedural law.

• Scenario analysis, transaction, and litigation advice regarding decisions issued by the telecommunication market regulator (member of the team). Dispute value: PLN multi-hundred million.

Regulation / Legislation

• Proposal for the reform of the legal profession, drafted at the invitation of a Polish political party in parliament (co-author).

• Drafting of positions and regulatory proposals for a law firm representing a major IT company (member of the team). Subject: electronic signatures law.

• Proposal for an overhaul of the Radio and Television Broadcasting Act, commissioned in 1999 by the Polish Ministry of Treasury (co-author).

Pro Bono

• Argued before the Supreme Court on behalf of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights in a precedent-setting case on same-sex unions' apartment tenancy rights. Read more at WSJ and here.

• Drafted the winning petition to the Polish Supreme Court for the parents in a precedent-setting "wrongful birth" tort litigation. Read more.
